Hey, everyone. I...am kinda sick. I have some congestion in my head and throat; it's making my eyes heavy and there's some pressure in my head. I'm not sure what this is exactly, it may not even be that serious, but it's enough to make my mom and sister give my every medicine in the whole house. It started because my room has VERY dry air, which made my throat really sore. My throat's fine now, it's just this congestion now. Plus, my voice is gone. And now, I'm trying to get it out before it gets worse. My eyes are heavy and my head feels like it gained five pounds, but if I take a nap, I'll get a headache. I would still be in the bed right now if not for my head beginning to split had I not gotten up
I would rather deal with a little pressure and mucus than a headache. Seriously, headaches = no fun.
I've got bottled water and citrus fruits at the ready, and I'm trying to think of something spicy to eat. AND I'm trying to not get stressed, which isn't going to well. My mom and sister are afraid and upset that I brought sickness into the house... As if I didn't feel bad already, now I'm hit with guilt!
I'm just going to quarantine myself in my room all day. Heck, it might just be allergies, because of the crazy weather. Poor plants think it's Spring already...
Well, we don't know what it is exactly, but we're trying to keep it from getting worse. This will be gone within the next week, I pray.
What sucks even more about this is that I really want to draw, but ...*sigh* I need a weekend to get away.
Speaking of drawing, I have a little story for you guys. I was working on the next page of Astral Cross
, and everything was going very well. Everything was how I pictured it, if not better. I'm using the external hard drive I got this past Christmas to save the comic, because the 8GB jumpdrive I was using was about to run out of space. That thing works beautifully. With the next page, I was working on the shading part. Lineart, coloring, extra background work, all done. I save the file to my external hard drive, and something happens. There was some type of malfunction while saving and Photoshop freezes and says it's 'Not Responding' (I despise that message...) Thinking I had saved the file, I close Photoshop. I wanted to be sure that everything was OK, so I open Photoshop and the file for that page. I see the thumbnail and notice that it looked like it had when I opened the file (just the lineart and base coloring of one character). I get freaked, and I try to open the file. At that moment, a small window pops up and says that the file is incompatible with this version of Photoshop!
The file that I was working on and had worked on for four days
on Photoshop is telling me that it's incompatible with this same version!!
Four days worth of work, GONE!
I had to delete that file and start all over! *sarcasm*
But you guys want to know something funny?! end sarcasm
Same scanned file, same version of Photoshop, same page. I got to the point where I'm almost done with base colors, and the same exact thing happened AGAIN!
Me: Not again! Not again! I'm not going through this again!
I quickly saved my file in another jump drive, saving all my work and another rage quit. There's nothing wrong with the hard drive, it's the computer. I'm keeping a that jump drive handy for emergencies from now on.
So, I'm not feeling too well, technology hates me, and my mom and sister are making me feel guilty and helpless for bringing sickness to the house. I really hope your day is going better than mine, and I pray to God that this goes away soon.
