*Edit 1/24/15* I forgot to hit notify watchers. My fault
First off, I want to thank everyone for their words of support earlier and their thoughts. I'm honestly very grateful
OK, some of you may remember my Favorite Boss Fights Themes in Video Games journal I wrote some time ago, and how the Final Boss music from Ocarina of Time
was in that list. It's one of my personal favorite scores from the game and the series.
I think it just got dethroned...by a score from a game that's not even canon.
I just beat Hyrule Warriors
last night...twice. The first time I tried to send a message through Miiverse, but it messed up the ending sequence, skipping everything to my final results. So I tried again with success, but that's not the point. The point...is that song you hear during your fight against the final boss.
This song is the best most recent example of how a score in a boss fight should sound. It's adrenaline-pumping, urgent-sounding, and heck 'o fun to listen to! The instruments were well-used and it fits that fight perfectly!
Fair warning, if you haven't beaten or AT LEAST attempted to beat the Legends Mode in Hyrule Warriors
, this link is a very, VERY big spoiler. Listen at your own risk! -->[link]
Hey! It's been a minute, huh? The first couple of weeks of 2015 have been rather...eventful, so to speak.
First off, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year
Apologies for being twenty days late >_> There are a few reasons for that. Two of those reasons being Hyrule Warriors and Super Smash Bros. Wii U. I got both games for Christmas and I bought a Wii U and a Link amiibo (how could I not?) the following Saturday. I've been playing both games when ever I had free time. I haven't beaten Hyrule Warriors yet because Ganon keeps killing me and my allies
, so I'm leveling up in Adventure Mode. And the music... Magnificent!!
There is a lot of stuff to do in Smash Bros.
I'm still excited about those 8-player battles! They're crazy!
I haven't turned on my Wii U in the past few days. I guess I needed a short break from gaming for a minute. That...and my grandfather passed away. I can't remember the last time I was that shaken when I got the news; I couldn't even work the rest of the week. What's more, one of my cousins passed away the day before he did. Their funerals were this past weekend. What I way to start the new year, huh?
But I'm OK now. I'm OK.
Well, that was a bit about my life, and why I haven't updated until now. I've been on and off DA during these dates, to calm down and get my art muse going, but that was pretty much it. I would like to be a bit more active on DA than I have been for a while; I'm going to TRY and get back into the weekly updates for Astral Cross, if the shots and paneling doesn't get too complicated, like the last page I posted
Me and these short journals
Until next time, stay gold. I pray that 2015 is starting off well for all of you
